Disque Foundation in 2022: A Year of Empowerment
The Disque Foundation is pleased to announce that in 2022, together with Save a Life Certifications by NHCPS, we provided 622,492 free healthcare certifications. With the support of our partners, our Save a Life Initiative Trainers, our team, and our outstanding community of learners, we were able to empower a growing total of over 4 million lives, throughout more than 184 countries.
We are proud to announce that from 2015 to 2022, the Disque Foundation has given away nearly 186 million US dollars in free certifications that have significantly contributed to our mission to empower individuals to save a life. This achievement would not have been possible without every individual who has supported the foundation throughout its journey.
Our Save a Life Initiative
The idea behind the Save a Life Initiative (SALI) is simple! When the knowledge and skills to perform CPR and other proven life-saving techniques are taught to individuals all across the world, the power to save lives is within everyone. To achieve this initiative, we take the same advanced life-saving training developed for healthcare providers and teach it to everyone, both at home and abroad.
We utilize technology to make advanced healthcare education accessible and free to everyone in need. With the usage of technology, we are able to provide our courses and course materials to anyone, anywhere in the world. Even more, our team of medical educators and board-certified physicians create and maintain content that is understandable to individuals with any level of medical knowledge or background. These considerate levels of accessibility are what ensure anyone can gain the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform CPR and various proven life-saving techniques.
Empowering Lives Globally
Through our Save a Life Initiative, we committed the past year to empowering lives across the globe through our SALI trainers. In 2022 alone, our SALI Trainers empowered more than 6,590 lives through 245 events! We would like to recognize our truly remarkable network of SALI partners that have helped us achieve our mission.
Online Courses and Certifications
Our Save a Life Initiative originates from our long-standing partnership with Save a Life Certifications by NHCPS, one of the most accessible and widely used medical training and certification sites. Through the Save a Life Initiaitve, NHCPS offers the world’s first entirely online life-saving certifications. Courses are accessible to anyone with a device and an internet connection. All courses are designed by Board Certified Physicians and are continuously maintained to adhere to the latest ILCOR standards and guidelines.
2022 Empowerment Report
To share the successes the Disque Foundation’s partners, learners, and team accomplished in 2022, our team organized an Empowerment Report. The report overviews our ongoing efforts to reach our largest goal yet–empower 10 million people to save a life by 2025. It also provides more detail on our journey from our founding more than 10 years ago, to now, and the countless lifesavers that have helped us get to where we are today.
