Free CPR, AED & First Aid Training for Parents and Staff at Daystar Daycare
There is truly nothing like working and giving to children.
Here are the Disque Foundation, the Empowerment Team has witnessed miraculous learning opportunities and times of healing, especially in the lives of children. Children and individuals who work with children are an integral part of our mission to empower one million people to save a life by year 2020. Who better to change our future of healthcare education than the ones who work closely with children everyday?
While it may seem as though children wouldn’t require CPR or AED as they are not at high risk for cardiac arrest compared to adults, there are several risks that a child faces, especially in the daycare setting.
Children can experience at home or in a daycare:
- Choking
- Drowning
- Electrical shock
- Excessive bleeding
- Head trauma or serious injury
- Lung disease
- Poisoning
- Suffocation
The Empowerment Team traveled to Indianapolis, IN, to teach free CPR training and demonstration for Daystar Daycare staff and parents. The staff and parents now feel equipped to act in a cardiac emergency, and are rest-assured that their children are safe from unnecessary death due to lack of training.
