10 Million Lives Empowered: A 2025 Milestone on Our Path to 2030

From One Doctor in Haiti to a Global Movement

Among them was Dr. Disque, who watched helplessly as a nurse—someone with no formal life support training—was thrust into performing an emergency C-section. That nurse had never been taught what to do in a life-or-death moment. Yet, armed with only the basic knowledge she received on the spot, she saved that child’s life.

That single moment gave birth to the Disque Foundation.

Dr. Disque returned home with a mission that was simple, urgent, and impossible to ignore: what if everyone had the knowledge to save a life? Not just doctors. Not just nurses. Everyone.

Fifteen years later, we are no longer one doctor standing in a field in Haiti. We are a global movement—and in 2025, we crossed a milestone that once felt like a distant dream.

The 2025 Big Win: 10 Million Lives Empowered

How Long Are BLS Classes

We did it.

In 2025, the Disque Foundation officially reached 10 million lives empowered through the Save a Life Initiative—a goal we have been building toward since the very beginning. For an organization that started with a single C-section in a disaster zone, this number is more than a statistic. It represents 10 million individuals around the world who now carry the knowledge, confidence, and skill to intervene when it matters most.

And the momentum is only growing. Here is what 2025 looked like in numbers:

  • 7,241 new lifesavers were empowered every single day in 2025
  • 10 million total lives empowered since the Foundation’s founding
  • 187 countries reached through our programs and partnerships

Every one of those 7,241 daily lifesavers is a neighbor, a parent, a coworker—someone who now has the power to act before an ambulance arrives.

A Truly Global Network: Our SALI Partners

No mission of this scale succeeds alone. Behind every certification earned and every life empowered is a network of remarkable people who carry this work into their own communities.

Our Save a Life Initiative (SALI) Trainers—volunteers, healthcare professionals, educators, and everyday citizens—showed up in extraordinary ways this year:

  • SALI Trainers conducted 203 events worldwide in 2025
  • Those events reached more than 7,846 lives directly

From the Philippines to Nigeria, from Honduras to Romania, our global partner organizations brought CPR and life-saving education into schools, clinics, fire stations, and community centers. The full list of our 2025 SALI Partners spans over 100 organizations across six continents—a testament to the universal hunger for this education.

We are endlessly grateful for their commitment. This is not our work—it is our work, together.

The Value We’re Creating: $259 Million in Free Certifications

One of the questions we are most frequently asked is: How is this free?

The answer is rooted in our core belief that life-saving knowledge should have no price tag. Since 2015, the Disque Foundation—in partnership with Save a Life by Advanced Medical Certification—has provided:

  • Over $259 million in free certifications covering CPR, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and BBP
  • Free online courses accessible anytime, from anywhere in the world
  • The world’s first free life support training courses are available online

And because we believe deeply in the trust our donors place in us, we make this pledge without exception:

“100% of all public donations go directly toward funding our cause.”

That means every dollar given funds free certification courses, webinar training, SALI Trainers, annual foundation trips, and human resources—nothing is siphoned off into overhead or administrative bloat. Transparency is not just a value here. It is a promise.

The Road to 30 Million: What Comes Next

healthcare-professionnals-demonstrating-cpReaching 10 million is cause for celebration. But our mission will not be complete until we reach 30 million empowered lives by 2030.

That means empowering 20 million more people in the next five years—a challenge we embrace with urgency and optimism. The engine that makes this possible is technology. Through SaveaLife.com, we deliver fast, effective, and convenient online learning tools that learners can access on their own schedule, in their own language, in their own country.

The growth we have seen since 2015—accelerating sharply through 2020, 2024, and now into 2025—shows this model works. What once took years now takes days. What once required a classroom now requires only an internet connection.

We are building toward a world where the next nurse in Haiti—the next person standing over a child in crisis—already knows exactly what to do.
