Donor Spotlight: Catherine Hickey

The Disque Foundation has been blessed to receive the donation of time, talent and treasure over the years from Catherine Hickey. Since the founding of the Disque Foundation, Catherine has been an active volunteer and donor to the Save a Life Initiative. Her charisma and generous heart always stands out when she’s in a room. She has hosted and attended countless Ronald McDonald House events and has continually provided donations to help spread a mission she truly believes in and supports.

Catherine has been serving alongside the Disque Foundation team since the beginning of its foundation in the mid-2000’s. Her involvement with the foundation was initiated during her academic years at Purdue University, where she met current Director, Dr. Karl “Fritz” Disque. Fritz and her both participated in Purdue’s Cooperative Housing system, and became lifelong friends with a mutual passion for making a difference in the lives of those living in underserved areas of the nation and world.

Catherine embraces her creative side with the Foundation’s involvement at the Ronald McDonald House Chicago where she enjoys organizing crafts and activities for children receiving medical treatments along with their family members staying at the house. Outside of her busy career in Commercial Banking, Catherine enjoys focusing on her yoga practice, traveling throughout the U.S. and abroad and serving as the Women in Banking Chair on the Board for the Risk Management Association of Chicago.

Catherine recently married Daniel Morisette in December 2017. True to Catherine’s spirit of helping others and in lieu of wedding favors, the couple elected to make donations to a number of their favorite charities including the Disque Foundation where she has been honored to serve on the Board.

The entire team at the Disque Foundation would like to thank Catherine and Daniel for their generous giving and continued support of the Save a Life Initiative at the Disque Foundation over the years, and we look forward to the many years to come.
